We love a sweet onion condiment don't we folks

I made caramelized onions the other day using 4 large onions, but they cook down so much I was only able to use them in 2 dinners and a lunch

Thinking about going back to the frying pan for more onion

I'm sure there's ways to get a better result but I'm wary of trying again

@infernusgoatus the fact that you can take a simple, cheap ingredient and the only thing you need to invest to make it delicious is *time*, that's pretty amazing

I always just cook them on medium heat with a little butter, covered, for about an hour, stirring every 10 minutes

It's corned beef week (or more probably like, 4 days)

I drizzled some ghee and salt & pepper over potatoes, carrots, and cabbage (wedges cut through the core so they stay in one piece for flipping) and roasted them on a baking sheet at 400° for 20 minutes, flipped everything, and gave them 20 more minutes while the beef finished its 8 hours in the crockpot

I wish series of things didn't have to escalate in scope every time, like first there's a bad guy terrorizing a city but if that piece of media is successful then next time the bad guy has to try to blow up the planet instead

I wonder what it is about video games that keeps it manageable, maybe it's plot mattering less or the fact that if you like the game you kind of want future installments to be the same

Or maybe if you're saving the world every game anyway the stakes are more standardized
