pleroma.otter.sh/objects/71beb…♲ @dashie@pleroma.otter.sh:Hello, I’m the reel2bits project main developper (a #FOSS self-hostable #soundcloud like with #ActivityPub federation). It’s written in python/flask/vuejs and I need help because of health issues I’m unable to work a lot on it anymore, if you are interested to help me on some of the issues and more specially the ActivityPub part, you can contact me through:
Testing group name autocompletion in #GnuSocial using #AndStatus!gnusocial It works already. Not very impressive yet, because there is NO WAY (yet?!) to get actual metadata for remote groups (actual unique ID, avatar ...)But adding internal app's infrastructure for Groups support is much more important. It could be used e.g. in #ActivityPubWhere are you, #ActivityPub#C2S (client to server protocol) developers?@kaniini @lanodan @xrevan86
♲ @andstatus@loadaverage.org: On adding Group / List support to #AndStatus Oh, I see that #GNUSocial development is going on: notabug.org/diogo/gnu-social #ActivityPub Server-to-Server support is being added (and I saw a report that it was successfully tested some days ago...) Moreover, looking into the source code I found the first-hand info about the system's API . And although the code, related to Groups support, didn't change for the last six years 😀 notabug.org/diogo/gnu-social/s… , it works and I could actually retrieve the group's timeline at loadaverage.org The unusual "!groupname" syntax to address a group is not a big problem... So I'm moving on adding Group support to #AndStatus (whatever it will be actually...) loadaverage.org/attachment/578…

A wonderful politics person I know wants to wrap their head around desentralized social media and the fediverse and is wondering about content (Like articles and stuff) in English to read about it.
Improvements to #littrme, the link aggragator based on #ActivityPub: fix an issue wher Undo activities on previous Like/Dislike didn't propagate to the full audience collections'. Finished (I hope) the mentions and hash tags extraction from an item's content.
Also in #fedbox, the generic #ActivityPub service, we have now better handling of BCC and Bto fields, which are used by littr.me for generating the public timelines.
♲ @mariusor@metalhead.club: So #littrme is up and running as an #ActivityPub C2S client for #fedbox.Federation is not finished yet of course, and you can't do much except post things, comment on them and like or dislike them. This is a bit underwhelming for almost two years of work, but a lot of things have happened under the hood, so it's not all wasted time.If you are interested in playing with its very basic features give it a spin at: littr.meThank you!#fediverse #activitypubdev #announcement
Fediverse: We are family - We are Community - We are Future(deutsche Version darunter) ----(English Version)----While I was watching the EU talk "The future internet regulation" I came across the idea that we shouldn't proceed calling the fediverse, federation and ourselves as an "alternative social network" or an alternative to facebook, twitter or other social networks. In german I would call that "tiefstapeln" that can maybe translated as "to be overmodest".We should be conscious that decentralized systems like the fediverse and federation are the future of the internet. So, when we are talking about us and our communities, we should start talking instead of the alternatives of the internet/social networks / etc about the future of the internet !With decentralized systems like the fediverse and the federation are, it is possible to create _real_ digital communities. Regardless if they are virtual worldwide or regional local. Start realizing that the fediverse and federation is the start to a future, where community and democracy could go hand in hand. It's just our mindset. But it is important to understand that this small change in words, how we describe ourselves makes a huge difference. Also lasst uns darüber im Klaren sein: We are family - We are Community - We are Future#Fediverse #Federation #Friendica #Mastodon #Pleroma #Hubzilla #Pixelfed #Peertube #Funkwhale #Diaspora #ActivityPub #WeAreFamily #WeAreCommunity #WeAreFuture
@kev I'm just getting familiar with WP on a #yunohost install and was wondering if you've experimented with the #activitypub plugin for WP, we could then follow your posts and comment directly from here. Any thoughts on this?
#fediverse#gnusocial
